JASA Express Letters

Beginning in January 2021, JASA Express Letters re-launched as an online-only gold-open access journal. JASA Express Letters is devoted to providing rapid and open dissemination of important new research results and technical discussion in all fields of acoustics. It serves physical scientists, life scientists, engineers, psychologists, physiologists, architects, musicians, and speech communication specialists who wish to quickly report the results of their acoustical research in letter-size contributions.

JASA Express Letters is a peer-reviewed journal. Articles are limited to seven published pages. Articles publish as soon as the editorial and production process is complete and are compiled into monthly issues.

Contributions may describe basic or applied research and subjects include:
● Acoustical oceanography

● Animal bioacoustics

● Architectural acoustics

● Biomedical acoustics

● Engineering acoustics

● Musical acoustics

● Noise

● Physical acoustics

● Psychological and physiological acoustics

● Signal processing in acoustics

● Speech communication

● Education in acoustics
